Travis Trium Perfectum returns with an all new dark art experience at Ketchup City Creative December 6th, 7th and 8th, this is Hope Unraveling. Smearing poetry with dark surrealism, these new works seem to be more nihilistic and raw. Aiming to explore the idea of “hope” and deconstruct its fallout, the exhibition allows the viewer to contemplate it amongst a surreal aftermath. “The human mind and emotions therein have so many split ends, said Perfectum. At the surface we all seem to go through these similar things, but there are many variables and steps in the sequence of feelings I want to speak and account for. Hope seems to be our favorite liar and that can be looked at as a delusional pseudo-positive or a horribly negative one. I wanted to focus on hope being a more sinister spark to a wick that usually only leads to misery and self-destruction.” Words like daggers tear through these visceral portraits of emotion where the writing and poetry take a more powerful and profound position. Bleak yet alluring, these new works introduce you to yourself and drain your faith without remorse. Beyond the many new pieces, Perfectum will be continuing his video installation obsession by premiering something all new and immersive. Be there when hope unravels before your eyes, make your plans now.
