The writing on the piece reads “If this isn’t the end, it is the beginning in the acceptance of it. Show me what’s left so I can walk away in my mind and go through the motions. People close to me know my innermost self has been strangled; a murder-suicide. They recognize the unraveling and giving in; hope untied. A new death slides in slowly and now we must justify an existence that is not our own. I keep hearing god is coming back to save me, but I know he’s just a vacant room; an echo hole. Folded hands will never solve you and I, a new death we allowed to survive. A willing host in a shame-ridden post- life. This vastness only swallows and my only wish is to taste how hollow.”
