Travis Trium Perfectum returns to the gallery world with his sixth solo exhibition taking place at The Abyss within The Pale Horse in Toledo, Ohio. Featured will be an all new dark art experience that further dissects the human condition and focuses on the effects of trauma. This is 𝙏𝙍𝘼𝙐𝙈𝘼 𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙄𝘿𝙐𝙀. Perfectum is known for his mixed-media approach smearing charcoal, pastel and his original poetry with whatever is left of the human condition. The results always seem to lead to something provocative and thought provoking landing in the space of dark surrealism. “I wanted to look at trauma in all the crevices, said Perfectum. The why and way it happens, how it can shape us and dissect the aftermath of it. It leaves a residue. Something you can’t wash off. Something strangely tangible within our thoughts, perceptions and interactions. These new pieces embody that and I hope cause a deep-rooted emotional response; for better or worse. There is a bleakness in these works, something inherently affecting. But also a sincerity and an unapologetic truth that I think encompasses who we are as people.
