What started as me passing time in all the hotel rooms I stay at across the country touring with my art has now become a sequence of pieces. I will now formally introduce my Bible Page Series. This all started by me drawing on the pages of nightstand bibles in hotels. I would leave these works in them allowing them to potentially be found by an unsuspecting believer or possibly a heathen like myself. As I began posting these, there was a continued sentiment in people wanting to own these works. I began to ponder what that would look like and what I would accomplish in doing this. Blasphemy is such a large part of my expression as an artist, so it seemed like something I would like to explore. In every city I’m in (if there ends up being a nightstand bible), I make sure I tear a few pages out at random. Then when I sit down to create, I read the page fully and that inspires the work upon them. This will be a continued series until I don’t find it inspiring anymore, but so far I have really enjoyed the process. At each tour date this year I am trying to release 3 originals from these pieces making them special to that individual city. I look forward to sharing this creative journey with you all and if you come to a show, you will have an opportunity to own one. The conversations I had about the three pieces I debuted in Louisville, KY this past weekend was great and anyone I talked with about this series loved the concept. Hoping that continues and this can become something special and unique I can continue to share with all of you.
